I exited the bus as rush hour commenced. Hoards of caffeine driven, beat listening, suit and trainer wearing workers, all funnelled along the same path towards their respective place of business. I followed through the crowd, trying to get a sense of what their experience must be. As I plodded along in the midst of the fast moving mobs, wondering if I would be able to capture the feeling of rush that I was seeing, when I walked passed this building and became fascinated with the shadows and light at play. I was instant intrigued as to what I could get. I did a little exploration of the scene, walking around, taking some snapshots, thirty six in total, just to find a composition I liked. I was lucky to get a break in the crowd and even luckier that the shadows from this person cast so perfectly against the wall when I snapped my winning shot.

The original image was a little pale for my tastes so during post production I adjusted the levels and curves to help increase the contrast between the darks and the lights. I do like a high contrast image. After that I burned and dodged a few of the areas of the image and then, I felt, the image was complete. Simple really.
