Not much too this image, just shining, golden light surrounded by the unlit morning.

I like the city in the early mornings. I like the fresh scent of bread baking, the sound of bacon crackling, the hum from the rush of bodies exiting traffic hubs, footsteps pounding, coffee slurping, vapors bellowing and, when the sky is clear, I like the golden light that shines. This photo is born from that mixing pot.

I took a total of twenty-five shots of this scene, each one with little tweaks, adjustments and positions but, in the end, this image was the winner. For my edit I wanted to bring the final image closer to what I remember seeing during the shoot so I darkened the blacks, dodged the highlights and then added a little bit of vibrance to the photo as I wanted the golden colour of the light to come shining out. It’s simple but I like it.

Happy Viewing.
