I have always been a fan of the square format look for photos. I like the clean, neat aesthetic of it all and I think it lends itself well to the way I work. The compact frame forces me to be very strict with my compositions, making sure I include only the essentials of the scene to (almost) guarantee a successful image. It is because of those reasons I have been using the in-camera square format option to shoot all my recent photos. Now I know too much of a good thing can be bad but for the moment I feel it works.

I like the speckled light that is littering the ground right before the bridge in this scene. I think it makes a very pretty pattern.

Happy Viewing
